Ron Rinker on Slacks: "A dress slack is either worn with a matching jacket, which makes it a suit, or a sportcoat or blazer...they can be styled in a very traditional way without pleats, a plain front...
there are eight or ten different pocket treatments, from a side seam pocket, to a slightly angled top pocket, to a straight across western pocket...there are many varieties of back pockets, including no pockets at all...."what's really popular right now is a double pleated pant with side seam front pockets, and two back pockets with buttons...the two back pockets with buttons give it a balanced look, the side seam pocket has a tendency to bellow less and lay flat on your hip, and the two pleats is traditional...also traditional belt loops...
"Most ready-made slacks are not lined - my slacks are lined from the front of the pant, down to the just below the knee... it makes the pant fall better...when you're walking, your gate is smoother because the fabric is moving with you...it's also more comfortable...

Another advantage my slacks enjoy over ready made slacks is a choice of waistband...off-the-rack, even at a very good store, you'll find plain waistbands...there's nothing sewn inside, so shirts can work their way up out of the pants, and you need something to help grab the shirt and keep it tucked in...we have a type of waistband that has a synthetic rubberized material that grabs the shirt....
Some men's weight fluctuates...we have elastic waistbands that give with you...it will expand and contract based on your weight...
Some people ask about cuffs...cuffs are a very traditional styling feature...they really never go out of style - they just gain and lose popularity - but I don't recommend them for men with short legs, because your eye travels down the pant and stops at the cuff, making you look shorter...
Another advantage of our custom made clothing is we build in more outlet space in certain key areas of all our garments ...extra material...almost three inches in the waist and over two inches in the seat, crotch and thighs...so, if you were to gain twenty-five or thirty pounds, there's plenty of material to let the garment out..."
