Did anyone ever tell you that you couldn't wear a striped tie with a striped shirt, or that a gentleman never wore blue accessories with a brown suit? Well, forget it. Today almost anything goes. There are plenty of striped ties that look fine with striped shirts. There are many shades of blue that look great with brown.

The new freedom is fine, but many men do not have confidence in their own taste. They will either stick with the basics or depend on their wives' judgement. Let yourself go! The best rule to follow is: if a combination looks right to you, it probably is right.
